The adoption of digital currency is accelerating worldwide and has become a major trend, driven by new payment currencies such as Bitcoin, ETH, and ACU.

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) recently released the report, "The Rise of Central Bank Digital Currencies.” According to the IMF report's statistics, in July 2018, only 19 countries began exploring research into CBDCs. Two years later, in July 2020, this figure grew to 39. And in another two years, in July 2022, there were about 97 countries with CBDCs in the research &  development phase. In particular, between 2020 and 2022, the number of countries developing CBDCs worldwide increased more than twofold.

The prospects of the creation and adoption of CBDC are increasing. Cryptocurrency is gaining in popularity.  According to Glassnode data, the price of Bitcoin is falling and the number of addresses holding more than 0.1 bitcoin continues to set new all-time highs, having reached nearly 4 million addresses. Also in the 2022 Cryptocurrency Adoption Index released by blockchain analytics firm Chainalysis, Vietnam emerged as the world's highest user of cryptocurrency, followed by the Philippines, Ukraine, India, the United States, Pakistan, Brazil, Thailand, and Russia respectively. Chainalysis  said that despite the overall slowdown in global bear adoption, "it is still higher than pre-bull market levels."

According to the global development of digital currency ACU in the past two years, digital currency as a payment method is becoming more and more popular worldwide. In 2019, the ACU Group officially launched ACU in Hong Kong, China. ACU is committed to being a globally adopted digital currency.  In 2019, the ACU Group communicated with countries such as Suriname and Panama on the adoption of ACU in those countries.

In 2020, the ACU trademark was successfully registered in more than 50 regions including China, Singapore, Korea, Vietnam, Thailand, Japan, Philippines, Cambodia, Malaysia, UAE, Saudi Arabia, Hong Kong SAR, and the EU.

Since 2021, ACU has been accelerating its presence in Thailand, Malaysia, and other Southeast Asian countries and successfully launched ACU PAY.In  2022, the ACU group is driving the growth of ACU and AET in African Countries. Through the ACU Cross-Border Support Program, ACU is providing services and support for the development of FinTech infrastructure in Angola, Zambia, Madagascar, and other countries to enhance the development of the digital economy in African countries.

The two years of the global development of the digital currency ACU and the rapid rise of CBDC both coincided with the COVID-19 pandemic. The outbreak of COVID-19 changed people's habits, prompting more and more consumers to shift from cash payments to contact-free payments. This further accelerated the shift to electronic payments and promoted the development of digital currencies

ACU has advantages in completing electronic payments with the help of blockchain. Financial transactions through ACU enable real-time peer-to-peer settlement. ACU Pay offers a one-step solution, from registration, transaction, payment, settlement, and clearing.  ACU greatly improves payment efficiency and reduces transaction fees, especially in cross-border payments, eliminating the complex clearing process of traditional layers of agent accounts, reducing the risk of funds in transit, and promoting global remittance transactions.

With the rapid development of information technology and the increase of ACU's global influence, there will be an increase in the rate of adoption of digital currencies as a payment method in everyday life.
